Profile

My creative multidisciplinary practice spans photography, sound, moving image, and a range of other mediums, driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to explore new forms of expression.

I began my journey in the 1990s photographing live bands for record labels and music publications, later working in fashion photography. After many years in primary education, I now focus on my artistic practice while continuing to teach part-time, exploring audio-visual processes, photography, and experimental approaches to sound with renewed energy.

Alongside my own work, I am passionate about facilitating creativity with young people and communities. I have led art projects in schools, including Young Art at the Royal College of Art, a London-based exhibition of school-aged children’s paintings, drawings, and prints raising funds for Cancer Research UK, and collaborated with Lauderdale House, London on outdoor projects such as their Tree Dressing event, fostering connection with nature. I have extensive experience using natural environments and materials to enhance learning, helping children engage with art, creativity, and the world around them.

'Shot in the Dark' February 2026

Created for ZlideZpeekSho, curated by Sally Child, Shot in the Dark is an open-ended photographic series shaped by instinctive nocturnal wandering. It weaves together unseen late-1990s black-and-white images of club-goers in Hammersmith with recent long-exposure photographs made during meditative evening walks, where the intention was to slow down and to pay attention. The work explores how night heightens sensitivity to light, form, and atmosphere. Hovering between observation and subtle self-portraiture, the images evoke moments of pause, transition, and inward reflection.
